One down and two to go

Every year on December 23 my mother has an open house. This is a chance to catch up with people you haven't seen for awhile or in some cases since the previous December 23.

Last night was the first chance that one of the great grandmothers got to meet her great grandsons. The boys have 3 great grandmothers, 3 grandmothers and 1 grampa. My Dad's mom is 86, Glenn's grama is around there as well and my Mom's mom is 92!!!

All the great grama's live out of town, 2 live in the province and one lives in Alberta, so they haven't been able to get their hands on them yet. Last night their GGB would not let them go, she gave up food and beverages to hold, stare, talk and sing to the boys. In actual fact, we weren't even in the door 5 minutes and she had a baby in her lap!

GGT (my Dad's mom) is next as I hope to take a trip to Westbank with my Dad early in the new year to see her. GGK (Glenn's grama) will be in the summer when she migrates to BC with Glenn's step mom.

My family is coming over Christmas morning to open presents and have breakfast, with GGB's performance last night, I'm not sure she will eat or open presents :)
