SOLD......to the lady in the second row

NO THIS IS NOT AN APRIL FOOLS!!!!

Actually to a guy who lives in Alberta.

It's a happy and sad occasion in our house. As much fun as Glenn had driving the car and the friends that we made while running in Super Comp, the cost to play became to high. Back we go to the drag bike only, which in itself, with two babies in tow, will keep us busy enough.

When Glenn decided in 2001 to buy the first dragster we were overhelmed to say the least. There was a tough learning curve for Glenn, not just the dragster, but learning to tow a 24ft trailer with a 24ft RV.

The first car was stolen in 2002 about 2 months after Glenn crashed his bike. He opened up 2003 with the current car. Since he bought that car, he has spent so much time, energy and cash just so that it was his. He enlisted the help of Rick and they rewired the whole car, Glenn was the only guy in Super Comp with a horn!!! It came in handy in Seattle at the National Events!

I can't even name all the things he has done to that car, but the guy who purchased (in my opinion) is getting a great car!!

Glenn raced in Super Comp for five seasons and learned alot, me....well I got some good friends out of the deal as well as some travelling.

One of those friends....well, it started out "bitchy". In Calgary in 2001, we were pitted (parked for all you non-drag racers) beside John and Darlene Evans. With them was their friend Mike Pople, who also races SC (and has helped Glenn on MANY occasions). After SC had run a time trial, I was waiting at the trailer for Glenn to return, beside in me in John and Dar's trailer, was this lady (I know differently now). I turned to look at her and smile, but she wouldn't look at me. I thought what a b*tch!!

When Glenn returned I asked him who she was, but he didn't know. We had a gift for John and Dar, so we went over to visit. We were introduced to Mike's sister Karin. She barely looked at us. NICE LADY!!!

Well it turns out she's just a little shy (cough, spew, hack....um right). We didn't really talk that weekend and I'm not sure when she actually acknowledged I existed, but now the darn "lady" stays at my house when she is in town. You've probably also seen her comments on here from time to time.

So the dragster left our property yesterday, I watched Glenn drive the car onto the guy's trailer Friday night and it hit me that that will be the last time I see him in it. I really did shed a tear. BUT, this is a new chapter in our lives and maybe in 8 years we will end up with two junior dragsters...you never know.

Sorry if I didn't tell you about the sale, but it wasn't a done deal until Friday and I really didn't want to jinx it!!!

Again this isn't an April Fools, I can actually park my truck in the garage again!!

Glenn always looked at home in the dragsters. You will be missed in the class, but I am sure we will see lots of one another at the track. I have been shy my whole life, but I have learned to fight it. I am realy happy that I got past it with you guys - love all of ya lots. Really loved the pics of the boys - what was Gavin watching so intently??? THE Albetta B aka Karin
