Passing through
Well, last Sunday Glenn attempted to go racing, but was home about 2 hours after he left as the race was called due to rain. So off we went to finally get our veggies so Glenn could plant our garden. Which is now growing quite nicely.
Monday was our holiday, so I packed up the boys and headed out to see some friends. Karin and Mike had come in from Alberta on Sunday and were staying with John and Dar. So the boys I went to Dar's and had a short visit. They were tired, so we only stayed for a couple of hours.
My Mom and Barry stopped by to see the boys on their way home from the lake. Quick fisted Riley got ahold of the cat while Barry was holding him. I must say, Berley wasn't impressed, but Riley was pryed from her (furr and skin), with not a swat from said cat.
Tuesday the boys had their 6 month shots and were declared in good health. Gavin weighed in at just over 14 lbs and pudgy - sorry I mean Riley, weighed in at 15 lbs 15 oz!!! Gavin is in 50th percentile for weight and height and Riley is in the 75th. Those are for their corrected ages which is 5 months, even though they will be 7 months on SUNDAY!!!
The doctor and I talked about Gavin's shoes. I have watched him and his shoes get caught when he is on his tummy and when his shoes are off he looks at his feet as if they are foreign objects. So my boy gets a reprieve for now. His shoes have been off for a week and he now is starting to grab for his feet as he watches Riley shove his toes in his mouth. Tummy time is alot less stressful as well, he actually likes being there now!!!
Karin and Mike came over Tuesday night for dinner and a sleep over. Joei (Karin's 18 month old Border Collie) came as well and kept Georgie busy. Wed Karin and Mike left and headed out to Mission for the Divisional race.
Jump to Saturday and we had a surprise 60th birthday party to attend for a family friend. See Gavin, he fell asleep on Grama T while a live band was playing. Riley fell asleep on his Great Auntie Glo (but I missed the photo op). Once asleep they were tucked into their car seats and under a table. The naps were short, but they did sleep!!! How's that for GREAT babies!
Sunday morning I headed out to Mission and Glenn stayed with the boys. I have been helping Dar with DRAW (Drag Racing Association of Women) for about 5 years now. It's an organization that raises money and supports injured drag racers and their families. If a racer is injured on the track, DRAW steps in and helps pay bills until they are back on their feet. When Glenn crashed we were lucky it happened in Mission and not in the US. We didn't need their help, but there are lots of people out there that do.
So I don't have a lot of pictures to post as we've been kind of busy and NONE of Riley. Sorry folks.
My sister and I are headed to Westbank on Friday morning as our Grandmother is not well. My Dad is headed up tomorrow after being there most of last week.
I will try and get some more pictures up before I leave, but no promises. I am leaving Glenn and the boys behind, so I have to have all my ducks in a row before I go.
