Catching you up

I know I say this everytime, but WOW time sure flies by.....I probably don't have any readers left :)

Alot has happened since I last posted....in order

Kim finished her radiation - October 25th
Glenn had a birthday - October 26th
Riley started to walk - October 29th
The boys went out for Halloween
The boys turned one - November 3
Assignment portion of my course DONE - Nov 13 (Exam in Dec)

On the last day of Kim's treatment she came over for a visit, so I stopped to get cupcakes to celebrate the day (along with Glenn's birthday the next day).

The boys enjoyed them - they were Halloween cupcakes hence the orange faces.

On the Satuday, my Mom and Barry came to babysit the boys so that I could take Glenn out for dinner. I splurged and took him to the new Boathouse restaurant in Port Moody. Grama T and Barry brought over a pumpkin to carve for the boys first Halloween, Riley was a little interested, but wouldn't put his hand in the pumpkin and Gavin wanted nothing to do with it (therefore no picture).

On Halloween, Glenn and I took the boys over to his sister Deb's so we could tag along while Jaxon (our nephew and the boys cousin) did his thing. Jaxon pretty much ran to every house in the neighbourhood, it gave us a glimpse of a few years from now!

The boys birthday....wow, we had forty (yes, you read correctly 40) people show up for the birthday. Ususally when you invite people, not everybody says yes...well every person said yes and I even had a phone calls asking when the party was!!! It was certainly a lot of fun, but it took the boys a few days to recover.

I was a good Mommy and made the cakes myself. One each for the boys and then a separate one for the guests!

The blowing out of the candles and subsequent dive only worked for one as Gavin extinguished his candle with his hand. There was no burn, but he wasn't really into his cake after that!

Riley on the other hand, dove into it and enjoyed it.

He ended up with his face in the cake, but I didn't get any pictures of it.

I tried to rectify the cake thing the next day and Gavin did get to enjoy a piece of his cake.

Riley is now pretty much walking everywhere and Gavin is thinking about it. He uses the furniture to walk, but is a very cautious guy. He needs to have one hand on something solid but is attempting it.

They have become hams for the camera....everytime they see the light on the camera they make silly faces....

Okay, that's enough cuteness for now.

We were out for my sister's birthday last night, the boys went on separate sleepovers at Grama W's and Grama T's. This post has taken me almost an hour, now I'm off to arrange myself for studying for my final in two and a half weeks and maybe get some housework done before I'm back to chasing after my boys!

Have a great weekend!
